Our Story
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”
Eczema was a constant burden to me and tubes of cortisone cream my best friend. Especially after the birth of my children as my eczema got much worse.
Until my skin got too thin, too red and too irritated by the uncountable applications of cortisone cream on my face. Not even to mention the pigmentation marks left by going out into the sun occasionally. I became desperate to find another remedy for my problem and tried everything. I stumbled upon tallow by accident and what a life saver!
Soon I made big batches of tallow balm and as my family’s needs grew, I made a greater variety of products from amazing tallow.
I am an educator and during the exams of June 2024 as I was invigilating, walking up and down the isles praying as usual, God told me to start my own business and sell my skincare products. At first, I felt unsure and prayed that if this idea is really from God, that I would like to have a name that has special meaning to me. But not in Hebrew as there are so many Hebrew named businesses. I did not even reach the end of the isle before this logo of a small brown sparrow appeared in my mind.
These small sparrows (mossies) have a special place in my heart. Whenever I am on a rough patch in my journey of life, I would spend break times in my class praying. Then these little birds would come and keep my company. Just sitting on some of the learner desks. I never paid them much attention until one day during the Covid period when one of the cleaners came to ask me if I am a witch. I immediately said no and she left in unbelief as she said it is not normal for wild birds to come and spend time with humans. I was flabbergasted and asked God the meaning of these ‘mossies’. He replied they are a reminder to you that I will provide, you are worth far more than these ‘mossies’.
